What this MCCB delivers — and what the ratings mean for your panel
The Siemens 3VA1110-4GF46-0AA0 is a 4-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current (Iu) across the 40 °C to 50 °C band — no derating needed in that range. At 55 °C it still carries 98 A, at 60 °C 96 A, and at 65 °C 94 A, so the thermal curve is shallow enough that a warm panel enclosure won't force an upsized frame. The 121 kA breaking capacity at 240 V (76 kA at 415 V, 53 kA at 440 V, 11.9 kA at 500 V and 690 V) means this breaker can interrupt very high fault currents at lower voltages — typical for a main or feeder breaker in a 240 V or 400 V distribution board where the utility transformer is close. The TM240 overcurrent release is a thermal-magnetic design, so no external trip unit to configure; it's set at the factory for the 100 A rating.
Panel fit and integration
The breaker measures 70 mm deep, 101.6 mm wide, and 130 mm high — a standard 4-pole MCCB footprint that fits most DIN-rail or panel-mount enclosures without surprises. The front face carries IP40 protection, so it's suited for a clean, dry electrical panel; no washdown or outdoor exposure without an additional enclosure. Rated insulation voltage Ui is 800 V, and the maximum operational voltage with DC is 600 V, so it covers both AC and DC distribution applications within those limits.
