Breaking capacity and thermal derating
At 415 V the interrupting rating drops to 121 kA, at 440 V to 75.6 kA, and at 500 V or 690 V to 17 kA — the spectrum doesn't lie: this breaker is optimized for 240–415 V distribution, not 690 V motor circuits. The thermal curve holds a full 100 A up to 50 °C ambient; at 55 °C it derates to 98 A, at 60 °C to 96 A, at 65 °C to 94 A, and at 70 °C to 91 A.
Auxiliary switching and release configuration
The shunt trip allows remote tripping from a PLC or emergency-stop circuit — useful for coordinated shutdown sequences. The trip indicator and voltage trigger confirm the breaker's status at a glance.
The 3-pole width matches the standard 3VA busbar pitch — drops into a panel specced for the 3VA1110-5ED32-0AA0 without rewiring, as both share the same mounting footprint and terminal layout. Maximum power loss is 25 W; ensure the enclosure has adequate ventilation or forced cooling if multiple breakers are ganged in a sealed cabinet.
