Integrator note
The Siemens 3VA1110-5ED42-0AA0-ZD00 is a 4-pole IEC frame 160 molded-case circuit breaker with a 55 kA interrupting capacity at 415 V (class M). The TM210 trip unit gives fixed thermal-magnetic overload protection at 100 A (Ir = 100 A) and a short-circuit pickup fixed at 10× In, so it holds steady under motor inrush but clears a bolted fault fast. The N conductor is unprotected — confirm the neutral is not expected to carry fault current in your distribution scheme.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 55 kA Icu at 415 V is the maximum short-circuit current the breaker can safely interrupt once — class M (medium breaking capacity) covers most industrial panel secondary distribution where fault levels stay under 55 kA. The fixed Ir = 100 A means no thermal adjustment dial; the breaker is sized for a 100 A continuous load. The Ii = 10 × In (1000 A) short-circuit pickup is a fixed magnetic setting — suitable for feeder circuits where the inrush is moderate; for high-inrush transformer or motor loads a higher Ii or electronic trip unit would be needed.
