Line protection MCCB with TM220 release
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1110-5EE32-0AH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for line protection, carrying a continuous current Iu of 100 A and a TM220 thermal-magnetic release. The interrupting capacity at 240 V reaches 187 kA, at 415 V it is 121 kA, at 440 V it is 75.6 kA, and at 690 V it is 17 kA — these figures define the maximum fault current the breaker can safely clear at each voltage level, which is the primary selection criterion for panel coordination studies. Rated insulation voltage Ui is 800 V, and the breaker carries 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ version). The TM220 release is adjustable; the thermal time delay tr max is set at 1 s. Endurance is rated at 15 000 mechanical/electrical cycles.
Thermal derating and ambient limits
The 100 A rating holds flat from 40 °C through 50 °C. Above that, derate linearly: 96 A at 55 °C, 94 A at 60 °C, 92 A at 65 °C, and 90 A at 70 °C. Operating ambient range is -25 °C to +70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to +80 °C. Front protection is IP40 — suitable for enclosed panel mounting, not for washdown environments.
