The Siemens 3VA1110-5EE42-0AA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection. It's a 4-pole unit with a TM220 thermal-magnetic release, set for 100 A continuous current.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 100 A rating holds flat from 45 °C to 50 °C, then derates to 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 94 A at 65 °C, and 91 A at 70 °C. That thermal curve means you size the breaker for the worst-case ambient inside the enclosure — if your panel hits 60 °C, you're down to 96 A. The interrupting capacity drops with voltage: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. That 17 kA at 690 V is the floor; make sure your available fault current at that voltage is below it.
Mounting and integration
The breaker measures 70 mm deep, 101.6 mm wide, and 130 mm tall. It's a panel-mount MCCB, not a DIN-rail snap-on — plan for screw-mounting and bus-bar connections. The front face carries an IP40 protection rating, so it's fine inside a closed cabinet but not for washdown environments. The TM220 release has an adjustable instantaneous trip (li) up to 1000 A, giving you some selectivity tuning for downstream feeders.
