Interrupting capacity across voltages
The 3VA1110-5EF32-0AG0: The interrupting rating is 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 690 V. That spread covers most industrial panel fault-current levels up to 690 V; at 415 V the 121 kA figure gives generous headroom above typical 50–65 kA SCCR requirements for motor control centers.
Thermal derating — what the numbers mean for panel loading
The breaker holds 100 A continuously from 40 °C through 50 °C without derating. At 55 °C it drops to 96 A, at 60 °C to 94 A, at 65 °C to 92 A, and at 70 °C to 90 A. If the panel ambient runs above 50 °C, the load must be trimmed accordingly — the 90 A floor at 70 °C is still usable for a 90 A feeder.
Dimensions and panel fit
At 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, and 70 mm deep, this MCCB fits the standard SENTRON 3VA1110 footprint. The 76.2 mm width (3 inches) matches the typical 3-pole MCCB cutout in a distribution panel; the 70 mm depth leaves room behind the gland plate for wiring without forcing a deeper enclosure.
Auxiliary contacts and environmental limits
It ships with one auxiliary switch plus one trip alarm switch (HP type). Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. Front protection is IP40, so it is suited for clean indoor panel environments but not for washdown zones.
