What it is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1110-5EF32-0DH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection in distribution panels. It carries a continuous current of 100 A at 40 °C ambient, with no derating needed up to 50 °C — at 55 °C it still holds 98 A, and at 70 °C it's 91 A. That means for most panel environments below 50 °C you get full rated capacity without calculating a temperature correction factor. The interrupting ratings are the headline: 187 kA at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 500 V and 690 V. Those numbers cover high-fault scenarios typical in industrial mains distribution — the 187 kA at 240 V is well above what most panelboards upstream of a transformer can deliver, so this breaker won't be the weak link in a fault cascade.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, 70 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint that fits most DIN-rail or panel-mount enclosures without re-drilling. The 70 mm depth is shallow enough to clear a 120 mm deep gland plate with room for wiring. This variant includes an undervoltage release (UVR) as the auxiliary release, plus a configurable auxiliary switch block: 2 auxiliary switches and 1 trip alarm switch (HQ design). The trip indicator is present, so a blown breaker is visible through the front window without opening the panel.
