Line protection MCCB with TM240 release
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1110-5EF36-0AE0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for line protection, carrying a TM240 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. Rated 100 A continuously at 40 °C ambient, it holds that rating through 50 °C before derating begins — at 55 °C it's still good for 98 A, and at 70 °C it delivers 91 A. That thermal curve means you can mount it in a warm panel without oversizing the frame. The interrupting ratings are what set this frame apart: 187 kA at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. For a 100 A frame, that 187 kA at 240 V is a very high interrupting capacity — it handles fault currents on the secondary side of a large distribution transformer without needing a current-limiting upstream breaker. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, and maximum power loss is 25 W. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. The auxiliary switch configuration supports up to 4 HQ auxiliary switches, though this unit ships without a trip indicator or undervoltage release.
Panel fit and mounting
Dimensions are 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, and 70 mm depth. The 3VA1110 frame mounts on a DIN rail or can be screw-mounted in a distribution panel. The 70 mm depth is shallow enough to fit standard 200 mm deep enclosures with room for wiring gutters.
