What this MCCB delivers on the line side
The Siemens 3VA1110-5FD46-0AA0 is a 4-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 100 A continuous current at up to 50 °C ambient, with a TM210 thermal-magnetic release. The interrupting ratings are the headline: 187 kA at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 500 V or 690 V — numbers that govern selectivity and SCCR compliance in a distribution panel. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) confirms it is built for 690 V line-to-line systems with margin.
Thermal derating and panel fit
The 100 A rating holds flat through 50 °C; above that it derates to 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 94 A at 65 °C, and 91 A at 70 °C. In a sealed enclosure with multiple breakers ganged, that 91 A floor at 70 °C is the real continuous limit — size your load bus accordingly. The 70 mm depth and 101.6 mm width fit the standard 4-pole MCCB footprint on a DIN rail or panel-mount baseplate. IP40 on the front is typical for a switchboard interior; no IP rating on the sides means it expects enclosure protection.
