The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1110-6EF36-0DC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, carrying 100 A continuously at 40 °C and delivering a 220 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V. That breaking capacity drops to 154 kA at 415 V and 121 kA at 440 V, then to 17 kA at 500 V and 690 V — so for high-fault panels at 480 V or below, this breaker clears the full available fault current without cascading upstream. The 800 V rated insulation voltage confirms it's built for 690 V line-to-line systems with margin.
Thermal derating and panel fit
The 100 A rating holds flat from 40 °C to 50 °C, then derates to 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 94 A at 65 °C, and 91 A at 70 °C (–). In a sealed, non-vented enclosure near other heat sources, plan on the 91 A ceiling at 70 °C ambient. The frame dimensions — 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, 70 mm depth (–) — fit the standard SENTRON 3VA footprint, so it swaps into existing 3VA panel layouts without re-drilling the mounting plate.
Integrated undervoltage release and auxiliary switches
This variant ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) factory-fitted and two auxiliary switches. The UVR trips the breaker when control voltage drops below the dropout threshold — standard for safety circuits that need the breaker to open on loss of control power. The two auxiliary switches provide status feedback (open/closed) to a PLC or annunciator panel, eliminating the need for a separate auxiliary contact block on the side.
