The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1110-6EF36-0DH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated 100 A continuous at 40 °C, designed for line protection in distribution panels. It carries a 220 kA interrupting capacity at 240 V, dropping to 154 kA at 415 V and 121 kA at 440 V — high enough for most secondary distribution fault levels without cascading upstream breakers. Thermal derating and panel fit
The 100 A rating holds flat through 50 °C; above that, derate to 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 94 A at 65 °C, and 91 A at 70 °C. For a panel that sees 55 °C ambient, you lose 2 A — negligible for most loads, but worth checking if the circuit is already at 98 A continuous. The breaker occupies a 76.2 mm wide slot on the DIN rail or mounting plate, 130 mm tall, 70 mm deep. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so it handles 480/600 V systems with margin.
