The Siemens 3VA1110-6FE46-0AA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 100 A continuous current at 45 °C and 50 °C, with a 4-pole configuration and a TM220 thermal-magnetic release. Its interrupting capacity is 220 kA at 240 V, 154 kA at 415 V, and 121 kA at 440 V — high enough for most main service-entrance and large-feeder applications where fault currents are severe.
Thermal derating and duty
The breaker carries 100 A up to 50 °C ambient, then derates linearly: 98 A at 55 °C, 96 A at 60 °C, 94 A at 65 °C, and 91 A at 70 °C. That thermal curve means the 3VA1110-6FE46-0AA0 can be installed in a warm enclosure without losing much headroom — the 70 °C rating is still 91 A, not a forced full derate. The TM220 release has an adjustable long-time pickup (Ir) up to 1000 A, and the N-conductor protection is set at 50% of the phase current.
The MCCB measures 101.6 mm wide by 130 mm tall by 70 mm deep — a standard 4-pole footprint for the SENTRON 3VA platform, so it fits existing 3VA mounting bases and busbar connections.
