What this 3VA1 breaker carries and what it means for your panel
The Siemens 3VA1110-6MH32-0DH0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 160 circuit breaker with a breaking capacity class H — Icu of 70 kA at 415 V. That 70 kA rating means it can safely interrupt fault currents up to that level on a 415 V line without upstream cascading, which is what you need when the available fault current at the panel is high. Rated In of 100 A, with a TM120M thermal-magnetic trip unit set for starter protection (motor branch circuit duty). This variant ships without overload protection (the TM120M provides only short-circuit protection), so the motor starter's own overload relay handles the thermal protection. Short-circuit pickup Ii is adjustable 5 to 15 x In. It also includes an undervoltage release (UVR) rated 208–230 V AC 50/60 Hz, two auxiliary switches HQ, and one trip alarm switch HQ — all factory-installed, saving panel wiring time.
Panel integration notes
Mounts on a standard DIN rail inside the enclosure. The nut keeper kit is included — that holds the terminal screws captive during wiring, a small thing that saves time on a multi-breaker panel build. The UVR coil draws power from the control transformer; verify the 208–230 V AC supply matches your control voltage before energizing.
