Line protection MCCB with TM210 release
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1112-3ED42-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for line protection. It carries a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release, meaning the fixed thermal trip and magnetic short-circuit pickup are factory-set — no interchangeable trip units. Rated 125 A continuously at 40 °C, it handles the same current up to 50 °C without derating; above that the curve drops to 114 A at 70 °C. Breaking capacity is 75.6 kA at 240 V AC and 52.5 kA at 415 V AC, which covers most low-voltage distribution fault levels in North American and IEC panels. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) supports use in 480/277 V and 600 V systems with adequate margin.
Mounting and integration
The 101.6 mm wide (4 in), 130 mm tall, 70 mm deep footprint fits standard panel-mounted MCCB cutouts. Front IP40 protection keeps dust out of the enclosure face; the breaker itself is not rated for washdown environments. No undervoltage release or communication module is fitted on this variant — it is a straight thermal-magnetic device with no auxiliary electronics.
