Line protection MCCB with TM240 release
The SENTRON 3VA1112-4EF36-0AH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for line protection, fitted with a TM240 thermal-magnetic release. It carries 125 A continuously at 40 °C ambient, derating to 114 A at 70 °C — the full derating curve is baked into the rating table, so no guesswork on a hot panel day. Breaking capacity sits at 121 kA at 240 V, 75.6 kA at 415 V, and 52.5 kA at 440 V — well into the high-fault range for industrial distribution boards. At 690 V it still holds 11.9 kA, which covers most motor-control-center bus faults. The 70 mm depth and 76.2 mm width fit the standard SENTRON 3VA footprint — it drops into the same DIN-rail slot as the 3VA1110 frame, so a panel originally laid out for the lower-rated sibling accepts this one without re-drilling the gland plate.
Integration and thermal management
Three-pole construction, no undervoltage release, no communication module — it is a straight line-protection breaker. The TM240 release means the thermal element is calibrated for a 240 A frame, but the breaker itself is rated 125 A continuous; the magnetic pickup is fixed and non-adjustable. Power loss at rated load is 28.1 W — account for that in the enclosure thermal budget if you are packing multiple breakers side by side. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage from -40 °C to 80 °C. The 70 mm depth keeps the breaker within the standard 3VA envelope, so it fits existing panel layouts without increasing the back-panel clearance.
