The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1112-4EF36-0KA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 125 A continuous current (Iu) and a rated insulation voltage of 800 V. It carries a 121 kA breaking capacity at 240 V, 75.6 kA at 415 V, and 52.5 kA at 440 V — figures that govern its fault-clearing capability in low-voltage distribution panels. The TM240 overcurrent release provides thermal-magnetic protection for line (feeder) duty, not motor or generator protection.
Ratings and thermal derating
Full 125 A is available from 40 °C through 50 °C ambient. At 55 °C it derates to 120 A, at 60 °C to 117.5 A, at 65 °C to 115 A, and at 70 °C to 112.5 A. The operating temperature range is -25 °C to +70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to +80 °C. The front face carries IP40 protection — suitable for dry indoor panel environments, not washdown or outdoor exposure.
Integration notes
Mounts on a standard DIN rail or panel-mount base. Width is 76.2 mm (roughly 3 inches), height 130 mm, depth 70 mm — fits the standard 3-pole MCCB footprint in most low-voltage switchboards. No auxiliary contacts, no communication module, no undervoltage release on this variant; the only integrated auxiliary trip is the shunt trip (STL) order code 3VA9688-0BL33, which must be ordered separately if needed.
