The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1112-4EF42-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection at 125 A continuous current (Iu) at 40 °C, with a thermal-magnetic TM240 overcurrent release. It delivers a breaking capacity of 121 kA at 240 V AC, tapering to 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at 500 V and 690 V — covering typical industrial distribution voltages from 240 V through 690 V. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, and DC operation is supported up to 600 V. The front face carries IP40 protection, suitable for enclosed panel mounting where incidental contact is prevented.
Thermal derating and power loss
The 125 A rating holds flat up to 50 °C ambient; above that, derate to 122 A at 55 °C, 120 A at 60 °C, 117 A at 65 °C, and 114 A at 70 °C. Maximum power loss is 28.1 W — relevant for panel thermal budgeting in high-density enclosures.
Integration and mounting
Dimensions: 130 mm height, 101.6 mm width, 70 mm depth. Mounts in a standard panel cutout; the 4-pole footprint matches the SENTRON 3VA platform. An optional motor drive is available for remote operation. No communication module on this variant.
