125 A MCCB with 187 kA SCCR — line protection for high-fault panels
The Siemens 3VA1112-5EF36-0JH0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for 125 A continuous at 40 °C, with a maximum interrupting capacity of 187 kA at 240 V. That SCCR figure drops to 121 kA at 415 V and 75.6 kA at 440 V, so the breaker handles high-fault-current distribution panels where upstream transformer capacity is substantial. Thermal derating is modest: the breaker holds 125 A up to 50 °C, then drops to 122 A at 55 °C, 120 A at 60 °C, 117 A at 65 °C, and 114 A at 70 °C (–). For a panel OEM wireman, this means the full 125 A rating is usable in most ventilated enclosures without oversizing the frame.
Maximum power loss is 28.1 W, which factors into panel thermal budgeting.
The 3-pole width at 76.2 mm (3 inches) matches the typical 25 mm per-pole spacing common in North American and European panelboards.
