125 A, 4-pole MCCB with TM210 release — still in current production
The 3VA1112-5GD42-0AA0: Breaking capacity is rated per IEC 60947-2: 187 kA at 240 V, 121 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. That gives you substantial SCCR headroom for high-fault installations — selectivity coordination with upstream gear is straightforward at these levels. The TM210 release provides fixed thermal and magnetic trip settings. No undervoltage release, no voltage trigger, no ground-fault monitoring — this is a clean line-protection breaker without auxiliary electronics. Power loss at rated current is 28.1 W, which matters for thermal management inside a sealed enclosure.
Panel fit and environmental limits
Dimensions: 130 mm height, 101.6 mm width, 70 mm depth. The 70 mm depth is shallow enough for standard 200 mm deep enclosures with room for wiring gutters. Four-pole width at 101.6 mm matches the standard 4-module MCCB footprint on DIN rail or bolted bus. Operating temperature range is -25 °C to +70 °C, with a derating curve starting at 55 °C: 122 A at 55 °C, 120 A at 60 °C, 117 A at 65 °C, 114 A at 70 °C. Storage range is -40 °C to +80 °C. That covers most industrial environments including unheated electrical rooms and outdoor enclosures in temperate climates. Front protection is IP40 — suitable for dry indoor panels. No IP rating on the sides or rear; the breaker relies on the enclosure for overall ingress protection.
Sourcing and lifecycle
For BOM freeze or compliance documentation, the SENTRON 3VA series carries IEC 60947-2 certification. RoHS and REACH declarations are standard from Siemens for this product family.
