Rated current and breaking capacity
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1112-6EF36-0AD0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated 125 A continuous at 40 °C, with a thermal-magnetic TM240 overcurrent release. Its interrupting capacity reaches 220 kA at 240 V AC, 154 kA at 415 V, and 75.6 kA at 440 V — figures that govern fault-clearing coordination downstream. At 500 V and 690 V the rating drops to 17 kA, so verify the available fault current at the installation point before specifying.
Thermal derating and ambient limits
The breaker holds 125 A up to 50 °C ambient; above that it derates linearly to 114 A at 70 °C (the maximum operating temperature). The rated insulation voltage is 800 V, and the maximum power loss is 28.1 W — factor that into enclosure ventilation if the panel runs warm. Storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
Auxiliary switches and base variant
This variant ships with three HQ auxiliary switches (form C) factory-fitted, and the base switch is order code 3VA11126EF360AA0. No undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication function — it is a pure line-protection MCCB with mechanical status indication only (no trip indicator).
