The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1112-6EF36-0HA0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, carrying 125 A continuous at 40 °C and maintaining that rating through 50 °C before a gentle thermal derating curve begins. Its breaking capacity is substantial at low voltages — 220 kA at 240 V — and remains high enough for most industrial distribution at 415 V (154 kA), tapering to 75.6 kA at 440 V and 17 kA at 690 V. The unit is fitted with a TM240 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release and a shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release, the latter ordered separately as 3VA9688-0BL30.
Panel fit and integration
The MCCB occupies a 76.2 mm wide by 130 mm tall footprint with a 70 mm depth — a standard SENTRON 3VA form factor that drops into existing DIN-rail or panel-mount layouts without re-drilling. Front protection is IP40, adequate for enclosed panel mounting where the front face is accessible but not exposed to washdown or dust ingress. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V; mechanical endurance is 15,000 latching cycles.
