Breaking capacity across voltages
The 3VA1112-6GD46-0AA0: This breaker delivers 220 kA at 240 V, 154 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. That drop at higher voltages is typical — the arc extinguishes harder at 690 V. If your panel feeds a 480 V bus, you've got 75.6 kA of headroom, which covers most industrial service-entrance applications. The 800 V rated insulation voltage backs it for 690 V line-to-line systems.
Thermal derating and panel integration
It carries 125 A straight up to 50 °C, then derates to 122 A at 55 °C, 120 A at 60 °C, 117 A at 65 °C, and 114 A at 70 °C. That's a gentle slope — you lose only 11 A over a 25 °C rise. In a sealed enclosure or near other heat sources, plan for the 70 °C figure. Dimensions are 130 mm high, 101.6 mm wide, 70 mm deep — a standard 4-pole MCCB footprint that drops onto a DIN rail or panel-mount base. Front IP40 means it's splash-safe in a clean panel; keep it out of washdown zones.
