What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens 3VA1112-6MH36-0HH0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed specifically for starter protection — meaning it's built to handle the high inrush and locked-rotor currents of motor circuits, not just general distribution loads. Rated 125 A continuously at 40 °C through 50 °C, it derates to 114 A at 70 °C, so the thermal curve is worth checking if your panel runs hot. The 220 kA breaking capacity at 240 V gives serious fault-current headroom for high-SCCR installations; at 415 V it still interrupts 154 kA, and at 690 V it holds 7.5 kA.
Breaking capacity across voltages
This 3-pole MCCB delivers 220 kA at 240 V, 154 kA at 415 V, 75.6 kA at 440 V, and 7.5 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. The steep drop above 440 V is typical for a compact-frame MCCB — at 690 V the 7.5 kA rating still covers most motor-starting fault duties, but verify against your transformer's secondary fault current if you're on a 690 V line.
Panel fit and integration
At 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall, and 70 mm deep, this MCCB fits standard panel-mount cutouts for 3-pole SENTRON breakers. The 70 mm depth is the body only — allow additional clearance for the shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release and the 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch that come factory-fitted. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so it's comfortable in 480/277 V and 600 V panels with margin.
Auxiliaries and releases
Factory-equipped with 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ design), and a shunt trip (STL) auxiliary release. No undervoltage release fitted. The trip indicator and voltage trigger are present. Maximum power loss is 28.1 W — factor that into your enclosure thermal budget if the breaker is fully loaded in a sealed cabinet.
Environmental range
Operates from -25 °C to 70 °C ambient, stores from -40 °C to 80 °C. The 125 A rating holds flat through 50 °C, then derates linearly to 114 A at 70 °C. No ground-fault monitoring version on this variant.
