It is not a circuit breaker — it provides no overload or short-circuit protection. Its job is manual isolation and safe disconnection of a load circuit, with the undervoltage release (UVR) providing automatic trip on loss of control voltage. Rated for AC operation up to 690 V and DC up to 500 V. The 160 A frame handles the full rated current continuously at the listed ambient range (-25 °C to +70 °C operation, -40 °C to +80 °C storage). The integrated undervoltage release (UVR) is DC and does not include a leading contact — the UVR coil must be energized to keep the switch closed, and it drops out on power loss or intentional shutdown.
The front terminals accept busbar connection for the main circuit. IP40 protection on the front face — suitable for enclosed panel installation where the front is behind a door. Power loss at full rated current is 38 W maximum — account for this in panel thermal calculations, especially when multiple units are ganged in a compact enclosure.
