The Siemens 3VA1116-1AA32-0DC0 is a switch disconnector in MCCB design — not a molded case circuit breaker. It carries no overcurrent or short-circuit protection. Its job is safe isolation under load: you close it to connect, open it to disconnect, and it's rated to break full-load current without welding contacts. Rated continuous current Iu is 160 A on a 3-pole frame, with a max AC operational voltage of 690 V 50/60 Hz and a max DC operational voltage of 500 V. This matters for BOM fit: if your line calls for a 160 A disconnect with no integral trip unit, this is the exact SENTRON frame-160 part.
Undervoltage release and auxiliary contacts
Two HQ auxiliary switches (form C) are integrated, giving you status feedback without an add-on module. The main current circuit connects via busbar connection on the front terminals. A motor drive can be added as an optional extension.
Power loss is 38 W maximum at rated load.
Dimensions are 70 mm deep, 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm high — the same envelope as the 3VA1 MCCB family. Mechanical endurance is 15,000 latching cycles.
