Switch disconnector in MCCB design — 160 A, 4-pole
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1116-1AA46-0KC0 is a 4-pole switch disconnector built in an MCCB (moulded-case circuit breaker) form factor, rated 160 A at 690 V AC. It provides visible isolation for a circuit — think of it as a load-break disconnect that you can lock out for maintenance, not a protective device (no overload or short-circuit trip elements inside). The front terminals accept clamp connections, and the unit ships with a shunt trip (STL) coil for 220-250 V DC / 208-277 V AC plus two auxiliary switches (HQ). Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, and the mechanical service life is rated for 15,000 operating cycles typical. The front face carries IP40 protection — fine for a dry indoor panel, but keep it out of washdown zones.
Panel fit and integration
The MCCB-style body measures 130 mm high by 70 mm deep, with front-facing terminals for clamp connections. It mounts into a standard panel cutout for 160 A frame SENTRON disconnectors. The shunt trip coil and two auxiliary switches are factory-fitted, so no field assembly of accessories is needed.
