The TM220 trip unit gives you thermal (overload) and magnetic (short-circuit) protection, both adjustable. The magnetic pickup (Ii) is adjustable up to 1,600 A — 10x the frame rating — so you can set it for motor inrush or transformer magnetizing current without nuisance tripping. The neutral conductor protection is set at 50% of the phase rating, standard for 4-pole breakers feeding a 3-phase + neutral distribution.
Above that, it derates: 158 A at 55 °C, 155 A at 60 °C, 153 A at 65 °C, and 150 A at 70 °C. If your panel ambient runs 60 °C, you're still good for 155 A — but if you need the full 160 A, keep the enclosure ventilated or stay below 50 °C. Dimensions are 130 mm height, 101.6 mm width, 70 mm depth — a 4-pole frame that fits standard MCCB mounting footprints. Front IP40 protection means it's splash-resistant on the face but not sealed for washdown; install it inside a panel or enclosure with at least IP54 overall. The design accepts an optional motor drive for remote operation, and the communication function is not built in (no integrated Modbus or PROFIBUS), so remote monitoring needs an external module.
