What this MCCB delivers on the line
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1116-4EF36-0AD0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 160 A continuous current (Iu) at up to 50 °C ambient — it holds the full 160 A through 50 °C, then derates to 144 A at 70 °C. The TM240 thermal-magnetic release gives adjustable short-time delay (tr max 1 s) for selective coordination downstream. Breaking capacity hits 121 kA at 240 V, 75.6 kA at 415 V, and still clears 11.9 kA at 690 V, so it handles high-fault utility feeds without cascading upstream.
Panel fit and integration
Mounts on a standard DIN rail or panel-mount base — the 76.2 mm width (roughly 3 x 25.2 mm pole pitch) and 130 mm height fit most 160 A MCCB footprints. IP40 on the front means it's protected against solid objects over 1 mm, but not sealed against washdown; keep it inside a rated enclosure if the panel sees hose spray. Three HQ auxiliary switches (form C) are built in for status feedback to a PLC or annunciator.
