What the ratings mean for fit
The Siemens 3VA1116-4EF36-0KH0 is a SENTRON-series molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) for line protection. Its 160 A continuous rating holds across the 40 °C to 50 °C band without derating, then steps down to 150 A at 70 °C — so in a warm panel the full 160 A is available as long as ambient stays under 50 °C. The 121 kA breaking capacity at 240 VAC is the figure that governs fault interruption on a 240 V distribution bus; at 415 V it still clears 75.6 kA, and at 690 V the rating drops to 11.9 kA. That tells you the breaker is sized for high-fault commercial or industrial switchboards on 240/415 V services, not for 690 V drives.
Current production — no LTB concern
The lifecycle stage is marked current, meaning Siemens still manufactures this exact order code. No last-time-buy notice, no successor assigned.
