Thermal derating is published across a 40 °C to 70 °C ambient band: the breaker carries 160 A continuously at 40 °C, 45 °C, and 50 °C, then derates to 158 A at 55 °C, 155 A at 60 °C, 153 A at 65 °C, and 150 A at 70 °C. For a panel enclosure running at 55 °C ambient, the effective continuous rating drops to 158 A — a factor to confirm against the connected load before committing the BOM line.
