Ratings and what they mean for panel fit
The 3VA1116-5EF36-0JC0: The 160 A continuous rating holds flat from 40 °C to 50 °C, then derates to 153.6 A at 55 °C, 150.4 A at 60 °C, 147.2 A at 65 °C, and 144 A at 70 °C. If the breaker lives in a non-ventilated enclosure near other heat sources, use the 55 °C or 60 °C row — the 160 A number is only valid when ambient stays at or below 50 °C. The rated insulation voltage is 800 V, which covers 690 V line-to-line systems with margin. The front face carries IP40 protection — fine for a clean panel interior, but not for washdown or outdoor exposure. The 15 000-cycle mechanical endurance (latching) is typical for this class; it is not a high-cycle motor-starting breaker.
