What it is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1116-6EF32-0HC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for 160 A continuous current (Iu) at 40 °C, with a TM240 thermal-magnetic release for line protection. Its interrupting capacity hits 220 kA at 240 V and 154 kA at 415 V — numbers that tell you it can clear a high-fault utility feed without cascading upstream gear. The shunt trip (STL) and two HQ auxiliary switches are factory-fitted, so you don't lose panel space adding them later.
What the ratings mean for your panel
At 160 A continuous and a 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall, 70 mm deep footprint, this MCCB fits the standard SENTRON 3VA cutout — no adapter plates needed for a retrofit into an existing 3VA panel. The IP40 front protection means it's fine inside a closed enclosure; keep it out of washdown zones. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) gives headroom on 480 V or 600 V systems without derating the insulation.
