The Siemens 3VA1116-6EF36-0CA0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated 160 A continuously at 40 °C to 50 °C, with a thermal-magnetic TM240 overcurrent release and an integrated undervoltage release (UVR). The 220 kA breaking capacity at 240 V AC handles high-fault utility feeds; at 415 V it still interrupts 154 kA, and at 690 V it holds 17 kA.
Panel fit and thermal derating
The breaker occupies 76.2 mm width (3 inches) per pole — standard for a 160 A frame — with a depth of 70 mm and height of 130 mm. Thermal derating is mild: full 160 A holds through 50 °C, then drops to 158 A at 55 °C, 155 A at 60 °C, 153 A at 65 °C, and 150 A at 70 °C. The unit dissipates up to 40.5 W at full load — account for that heat in a sealed enclosure.
