MCCB for line protection with integrated shunt trip
The TM240 release provides LI protection — thermal overload (Ir adjustable 112–160 A) and magnetic short-circuit (Ii adjustable 5–10 × In) — sized for feeder or main distribution duty in commercial and industrial switchboards. The 4-pole design with 100% N-conductor protection means the neutral pole is fully rated and switched — required where harmonic currents or unbalanced loads demand a protected neutral path. The auxiliary contact pack — one HQ auxiliary switch plus one HQ trip alarm switch (order code 3VA9988-0AB12) — provides status feedback for remote indication and monitoring.
Mounting and connection
Front-terminal connection on the main current circuit accepts lug-type conductors, typical for panel-mounted MCCBs where busbar or cable access is from the front. The 15 000-cycle mechanical endurance is standard for a distribution-class MCCB in non-frequent switching service.
