Breaking capacity and selectivity
The 3VA1120-5EF32-0DH0: The 187 kA at 240 V is the highest interrupting rating in this frame size — it clears faults up to that level without upstream cascading. At 415 V it still holds 121 kA, and at 690 V it derates to 17 kA. For a 20 A MCCB these figures are well above typical panel SCCR requirements, giving headroom for selectivity coordination with downstream branch breakers.
Thermal derating and power loss
The breaker holds full 20 A rating up to 55 °C ambient; at 60 °C it derates to 19 A, and at 70 °C to 19 A. Maximum power loss is 14.5 W. In a crowded panel, that loss figure matters for internal temperature rise — allow natural convection around the 70 mm depth × 76.2 mm width footprint. The 130 mm height fits standard 3-pole MCCB mounting patterns.
Auxiliary and release configuration
The 3VA1120-5EF32-0DH0 ships with an undervoltage release (UVR) as the auxiliary release type — this trips the breaker when control voltage drops below a threshold, used for emergency-stop or safety circuits. The auxiliary switch block provides 2 form-C auxiliary switches plus a separate trip alarm switch (HQ), giving status feedback for remote monitoring or PLC inputs.
