What this MCCB carries and where it fits
The Siemens 3VA1120-6EF36-0AB0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) for line protection, rated 20 A continuous at 40 °C and carrying a 220 kA breaking capacity at 240 VAC. That interrupting rating drops to 154 kA at 415 V, 121 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 500 V or 690 V — so the voltage class of your distribution panel determines whether this breaker clears a fault without upstream coordination. The 800 V rated insulation voltage confirms it is built for 690 V line-to-line systems. Three-pole, thermal-magnetic release (TM240), no undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication module. The auxiliary switch bay carries two HP-style switches. The supplied basic switch order code is 3VA11206EF360AA0.
Current derating and panel fit
Rated 20 A from 40 °C through 55 °C; at 60 °C it holds 19 A, and at 70 °C it still holds 19 A (–). That means in a warm enclosure — say a non-ventilated panel near a process line — you lose only 1 A off the nameplate. Maximum power loss is 12 W, low enough that adjacent devices see minimal heat rise. Dimensions: 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, 70 mm depth. The 70 mm depth is shallow enough for a 200 mm deep enclosure with room for rear wiring gutters. Width at 76.2 mm is a standard 3-module footprint on DIN rail; verify the busbar pitch matches your distribution block before committing the BOM.
