The TM210 trip unit provides thermal-magnetic protection: the thermal element handles overloads (Ir = 25 A fixed), and the magnetic element handles short-circuits (Ii = 12.8 × In, or about 320 A). Because both Ir and Ii are fixed, there is no dial to adjust; the breaker is selected for a specific load current and stays there. The 3VA1 frame 160 footprint mounts on standard DIN rail or can be panel-mounted, fitting into existing Siemens 3VA panel layouts.
