What the breaking ratings mean for your panel
The Siemens 3VA1125-6EF32-0HH0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection at 25 A continuous current (Iu). Its interrupting capacity hits 220 kA at 240 V AC, 154 kA at 415 V, 121 kA at 440 V, and 17 kA at 690 V — those numbers govern selectivity and SCCR compliance downstream. At 415 V, for instance, 154 kA means it can safely clear a fault up to that level without upstream breakers needing to trip, which is critical for a coordinated distribution panel. The thermal-magnetic release is a TM240, and the auxiliary contact block carries 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ variant).
Thermal derating and ambient limits
Rated continuous current holds at 25 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then steps down: 24 A at 55 °C, 23.5 A at 60 °C, 23 A at 65 °C, and 22.5 A at 70 °C. Operating ambient range is -25 °C to 70 °C; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C. The IP40 front protection means the breaker face is sealed against tools and small wires but not washdown — suitable for indoor panel mounting.
Mechanical fit and panel integration
Dimensions: 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, 70 mm depth. The 76.2 mm width is a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint — it drops into a panel cutout sized for that pitch without modification. The 70 mm depth is shallow enough for most 200 mm deep enclosures. Mounting is via the rear panel or DIN rail adapter (not included). Latching endurance is rated at 15,000 operations.
