The Siemens 3VA1132-3EF36-0AH0 is a 3-pole IEC frame 160 molded case circuit breaker with a 32 A continuous rating and a 25 kA interrupting capacity at 415 V (breaking capacity class N). That 25 kA figure is the maximum fault current it can safely clear without welding contacts or rupturing the case — critical for verifying SCCR compliance on the line side of a distribution panel. The TM240 thermal-magnetic trip unit gives adjustable overload protection (Ir = 22…32 A) and fixed short-circuit pickup (Ii = 5…10 × In), so you dial the Ir to match the cable or load without swapping the breaker body.
Trip and auxiliary configuration
Factory-fitted with two HQ auxiliary switches and one HQ trip alarm switch. The HQ designation means the contacts are rated for higher control-circuit loads than the standard Q variants — useful when driving PLC inputs or relay coils directly without an interposing relay. The trip alarm switch changes state only when the breaker trips on fault, giving a distinct signal for remote annunciation separate from the open/closed aux contacts.
