What it is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1132-4EE46-0AA0 is a 4-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for line protection. It carries a 32 A rated current across a 40 °C to 50 °C ambient, derating to 30 A at 70 °C. The TM220 release handles both thermal and magnetic trip elements for overload and short-circuit protection.
Interrupting capacity — what the ratings mean
This MCCB interrupts 121 kA at 240 V AC, 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. Those are the maximum fault currents the breaker can safely clear at each voltage level — critical for selectivity studies and SCCR compliance in a panel. The rated insulation voltage is 800 V.
Panel fit and integration
Dimensions are 70 mm deep, 101.6 mm wide, and 130 mm high. The front face carries IP40 protection, meaning it is protected against tools and small wires entering the enclosure — standard for panel-mount breakers inside a switchboard. No undervoltage release, no communication function, and no ground-fault monitoring on this variant.
