What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA1132-4EF32-0AA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) for line protection, rated 32 A continuous at 40 °C ambient across all three poles. That 32 A holds steady up to 50 °C, then derates to 30 A at 70 °C — so in a warm panel you still get nearly full rating. The TM240 thermal-magnetic release handles overloads and short-circuits without external trip units. Breaking capacity is 121 kA at 240 V AC, dropping to 75.6 kA at 415 V and 52.5 kA at 440 V — still plenty for most industrial service-entrance or distribution panels. At 500 V and 690 V it holds 11.9 kA, which covers motor-circuit duty on higher-voltage lines. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so the breaker is rated for the full 690 V working voltage with margin. Front protection is IP40 — fine for a closed panel; no washdown rating, so keep it behind the enclosure door.
Panel fit and mounting
Three-pole, 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall, 70 mm deep. No undervoltage release, no shunt trip, no communication module. Power loss is 10.6 W maximum at rated load — negligible for thermal budgeting in a standard panel, but worth noting if you're packing a dozen of these in a sealed box.
