What this MCCB delivers on the panel
The Siemens 3VA1132-4EF32-0AC0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) built for line protection in distribution panels. Its 32 A rating holds across 40 °C to 50 °C ambient, then derates to 30 A at 70 °C — so in a warm enclosure you still get full rated current up to 50 °C, which is the typical panel interior temperature under load. Breaking capacity is the headline: 121 kA at 240 VAC, 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. That 121 kA figure at 240 V means it can interrupt a fault current up to that level without rupturing — critical for high-fault-capacity service entrances or transformer secondaries where the available fault current is high. The TM240 thermal-magnetic release gives fixed thermal and magnetic trip settings tuned for cable and busbar protection. Insulation voltage is rated 800 V, so the breaker is comfortable on 480/277 V or 600 V systems with headroom.
Physical fit and auxiliary options
Three-pole design, 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall, 70 mm deep — standard MCCB footprint for a 32 A frame. Mounts on a DIN rail or panel-mount via the SENTRON base. The 2 auxiliary switches (HQ type) are built in, so you get status feedback without an external add-on block. Power loss is 10.6 W maximum — negligible for thermal budgeting in a populated panel, but worth noting if you are packing breakers tightly in a sealed enclosure.
