Siemens SENTRON 3VA1132-4EF32-0AH0 — 32 A MCCB with TM240 Release
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1132-4EF32-0AH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection, carrying a 32 A continuous current at 40 °C ambient and a 121 kA interrupting capacity at 240 VAC — the figure that governs fault-clearing at typical North American panel voltages. The TM240 thermal-magnetic release provides fixed thermal and magnetic trip settings, suited for protecting cable and busbar runs against overload and short-circuit without the adjustment range of an electronic trip unit. Rated insulation voltage is 800 V, so the breaker can be applied in 480Y/277 V and 600 V systems with adequate margin; the 70 mm depth and 76.2 mm width fit standard SENTRON panel-mounting footprints.
Breaking Capacity Across Voltages
The interrupting rating drops with system voltage: 121 kA at 240 V, 75.6 kA at 415 V, 52.5 kA at 440 V, and 11.9 kA at both 500 V and 690 V. For a 480 V feeder, the 52.5 kA figure is the one to size against available fault current.
Thermal Derating and Operating Range
Rated current holds at 32 A from 40 °C through 50 °C, then derates to 31 A at 55–60 °C and 30 A at 65–70 °C. The breaker operates from -25 °C to 70 °C ambient; storage range is -40 °C to 80 °C.
Auxiliary and Alarm Contacts
Factory-fitted with 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ configuration), providing remote status indication without additional wiring modules.
