What it is and what it does
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1132-4EF32-0DC0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) rated for line protection — the main feeder or branch protection in a distribution panel. It carries a continuous current of 32 A at 40 °C ambient, and derates to 30 A at 70 °C if the panel runs hot. The interrupting rating hits 121 kA at 240 V AC, which means it can clear a bolted fault at that level without the arc re-striking or the case rupturing — important when the available fault current at the panel is high. This MCCB includes an undervoltage release (UVR) and two auxiliary switches (HQ design) for remote status feedback. The UVR trips the breaker if the control voltage drops below a set threshold — common in emergency-stop chains or when a loss-of-voltage condition must open the circuit automatically. The auxiliary switches give a dry-contact signal back to a PLC or annunciator panel. The insulation voltage is rated 800 V, so it can sit on a 690 V line with margin. The interrupting curve drops to 11.9 kA at 500 V and 690 V — still enough for most industrial motor branch circuits, but worth checking against the transformer nameplate if you're feeding a 690 V drive.
Mounting and panel fit
The 3VA1132-4EF32-0DC0 measures 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall, and 70 mm deep. The 76.2 mm width fits a standard 3-pole MCCB footprint.
