What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens 3VA1132-4EF32-0HA0 is a 3-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker rated for line protection at 32 A continuous current (Iu). Its TM240 thermal-magnetic release handles overload and short-circuit protection without communication or phase-failure detection — a straightforward, non-communicating MCCB for standard distribution panels. Breaking capacity climbs to 121 kA at 240 V, drops to 75.6 kA at 415 V, and holds 52.5 kA at 440 V — figures that cover most industrial service-entrance and sub-distribution applications. At 690 V it still interrupts 11.9 kA, useful for high-voltage motor circuits in 690 V plants.
Thermal derating and panel fit
Full 32 A rating holds through 50 °C ambient; above that it derates to 30.72 A at 55 °C, 30.08 A at 60 °C, 29.44 A at 65 °C, and 28.8 A at 70 °C. If the panel runs hot — say, a packed enclosure near a process line — factor the 55 °C or 60 °C row into the load schedule rather than the 32 A nameplate. Footprint is 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm tall, 70 mm deep — a standard 3-pole MCCB width that fits most DIN-rail or mounting-plate layouts. IP40 on the front means it's protected against tools and wires >1 mm but not against water; keep it inside a rated enclosure.
Auxiliary trip and release options
This variant ships with a shunt trip (STL) for remote tripping — the integrated auxiliary release is order code 3VA9688-0BL30. No undervoltage release, no auxiliary contact, no ground-fault monitoring. If the BOM calls for UVR or a status contact, this isn't the version; look at the 3VA11.. family with the appropriate suffix.
