What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA1132-4EF36-0AG0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) for line protection, 3-pole, with a TM240 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. Rated 32 A continuous at 40 °C ambient, it's sized for feeder or branch circuits in distribution panels. Breaking capacity is 121 kA at 240 VAC, 75.6 kA at 415 VAC, and 52.5 kA at 440 VAC — figures that give headroom for high-fault installations without cascading upstream. Insulation voltage rated 800 V. The breaker carries one auxiliary switch and one trip alarm switch (HP design) for remote status indication. No undervoltage release, no ground-fault monitoring, no communication module — this is a straightforward thermal-magnetic MCCB for standard line protection.
Mounting and integration
Dimensions: 130 mm height, 76.2 mm width, 70 mm depth. Fits standard SENTRON panel-mount cutouts and busbar systems. Power loss at rated load is 10.6 W — factor that into enclosure thermal calculations. Operating temperature range -25 to +70 °C; storage -40 to +80 °C. Current derating begins above 55 °C (31 A at 55 °C, 30 A at 70 °C). Ambient derating is the main constraint for dense panel layouts.
