What the ratings mean for fit
The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1132-4EF36-0JH0 is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker rated for 32 A continuous current at 40 °C, with a TM240 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. The 121 kA breaking capacity at 240 V AC means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to that level without upstream damage — critical for high-fault panels near large transformers. At 415 V the rating drops to 75.6 kA, and at 690 V to 11.9 kA, so verify the available fault current at your system voltage. The 800 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) confirms it's suitable for 400/480 V class distribution. The TM240 release is a fixed thermal-magnetic design — no interchangeable trip units. The breaker includes a shunt trip (STL) for remote opening and comes with 2 auxiliary switches plus 1 trip alarm switch (HQ configuration). A trip indicator and voltage trigger are built in. The front face carries IP40 protection, so it's suited for dry indoor panel environments.
Panel integration and mounting
The breaker measures 76.2 mm wide, 130 mm high, and 70 mm deep — a standard SENTRON 3VA frame size that fits common MCCB panel cutouts and busbar systems. The 3-pole design with line-protection function is a direct replacement for existing 3VA line-protection breakers in the same frame. The auxiliary contact block (2 aux + 1 alarm) is factory-integrated; no separate mounting needed.
