The Siemens SENTRON 3VA1132-5ED12-0AA0 is a 1-pole molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) configured for line protection, carrying a rated continuous current Iu of 32 A and a TM210 thermal-magnetic overcurrent release. The 121 kA breaking capacity at 240 V AC is the headline number for panel builders specifying high-fault-duty service-entrance or distribution boards — that rating clears a bolted fault at the main lug without upstream fuses. At 415 V the interrupting rating drops to 9 kA, which still covers most European industrial secondary-distribution panels.
Thermal derating and panel integration
The breaker holds its full 32 A rating from 40 °C through 50 °C ambient. At 55 °C it derates to 31.04 A, at 60 °C to 31 A, and at 65–70 °C to 30 A. That flat plateau up to 50 °C means no up-sizing for a warm enclosure in most industrial environments — the derating only bites above 55 °C, which is rare inside a ventilated panel. The 25.4 mm width (1 inch) per pole occupies one standard DIN-rail module; the 70 mm depth (2.8 in) and 130 mm height (5.1 in) fit a 200 mm deep enclosure with gland-plate clearance. Front IP40 protects against tool drops during commissioning.
