What this MCCB is and what it does
The Siemens 3VA1132-5ED16-0AA0 is a 1-pole SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) designed for line protection in distribution panels. It carries a TM210 thermal-magnetic trip unit, rated 32 A continuously at 40 °C ambient, with the same rating holding through 50 °C before a slight derate to 30 A at 70 °C. The interrupting capacity is 121 kA at 240 V AC — that means it can safely clear a fault up to that level without welding contacts or rupturing the case, which is the figure that governs whether it holds on a high-fault-capacity service entrance or a transformer secondary.
Panel fit and integration
At 25.4 mm wide and 70 mm deep, this single-pole breaker occupies one standard 1-inch module on a DIN rail. The IP40 front protection means it's fine inside a closed panel but not for washdown or outdoor exposure. No auxiliary contacts, no undervoltage release, no communication module — this is a bare line-protection device; any add-ons (shunt trip, alarm switch) must be ordered separately and snap onto the left side of the breaker.
