What this MCCB delivers
The Siemens 3VA1132-5EF32-0DA0 is a SENTRON molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) sized for line protection in distribution panels. Its 32 A continuous rating holds across 40 °C to 50 °C ambient without derating, then tapers to 30 A at 70 °C — useful when the breaker shares a warm enclosure with other heat sources. Breaking capacity hits 187 kA at 240 V AC, 121 kA at 415 V, and 75.6 kA at 440 V, dropping to 17 kA at 500 V and 690 V. That 187 kA figure at 240 V puts it in the high-interrupting class for 480Y/277 V panels where the available fault current is stiff. The TM240 thermal-magnetic release handles overload and short-circuit protection in one package. Three poles, rated insulation voltage 800 V, and an undervoltage release (UVR) built in — that UVR trips the breaker when control voltage drops, which is standard for motor feeder circuits where you want a loss-of-voltage shutdown. Power dissipation is 13.1 W maximum, so panel ventilation matters if you're stacking several of these.
Mounting and panel fit
The 3VA1132-5EF32-0DA0 measures 130 mm high, 76.2 mm wide, 70 mm deep. That 3-inch width per pole is standard for SENTRON 3VA1 frames — it clips onto a DIN rail or mounts with screws to a backplate. Depth of 70 mm means it clears most 200 mm deep enclosures with room for wiring gutters.
